Pitts was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 2013. Throughout his career, Pitts has focused his practice on real estate law, banking law, business planning, corporate and business litigation, estate planning, trusts, probate law, and other areas of general law. He regularly practices in the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma as well as all Oklahoma State courts, but has also practiced in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Virginia.
While away from his law practice, Pitts and his wife, manages Newman Ranches, a cow-calf operation, in Sweetwater, Texas. In July 2020, Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Pitts to the Seminole State College Board of Regents. In addition to the Board of Regents, Pitts serves on the Board of Directors for New Wewoka Industries, Inc, a Board he joined in 2016. He has served as President of New Wewoka Industries since January 2020. Pitts also serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Wewoka Chamber of Business and Industry and is a member of the Holdenville Masonic Lodge.
